Documentary Film Director, Writer, Sound Designer

Stephanie is an emerging filmmaker. As a final project for the George Washington University Institute for Documentary Filmmaking, her student team collectively directed a short film, The Good Candidate. The Good Candidate explores the Republican party’s identity crisis during a scandal-ridden political race in rural Virginia, during the pandemic.

In addition to contributing to the creative direction of the film, Stephanie steered the film’s structure and emotional story as a writer and sound designer. During the U.S.’s political turmoil, the film gained significance that the team hadn’t originally anticipated.
